Afrobeats is the future of the music industry-Kelvynboy

Former BurnItOn Music Group signee, Kelvynboy has once more caused controversy over his revelation about the music industry in a recent interview.

Kelvynboy says Afrobeats genre of which he performs major is the future of the music industry.

Speaking to Amasaman Krakye on radio central, he emphatically stated that it’s easy for emerging artistes to breakthrough with afrobeats because that’s the most trending genre now. That’s what Osibisa and other great musicians initiated of which even highlife takes inspiration.

He said he’s not surprised there’s a new afrobeats category in VGMA now.

“We just have to accept the fact that afrobeats is the biggest genre worldwide and during the year of return in 2019, afrobeats was the most requested genre among the returnees“.

“Though it’s difficult doing afrobeats but it’s the same genre that keeps me going ever since I hit the limelight and still soaring higher. I don’t do dancehall or hiplife“ he said.
