Don’t Call Yourself A Musician If You Can’t Play A Musical Instrument-Kesse

Ghanaian singer, Michael Kesse Frimpong who is popularly known is showbiz fraternity as Kesse, has stated that anyone who aspires to become a great a great musician, needs to be familiar with musical instruments.

Speaking in an interview with Doctar Cann on Happy FM‘s “the Showbiz Xtra“ show, Kesses said that, if you can’t play any musical instrument, you don’t don’t qualify to be a musician. You are just a stage performer.

He stretched that musicians must ingrain the habit of playing a musical instrument to their career as it holds up for them to be relevant in the music industry with good melodies and progressions.


He noted that he has gone through the requisite training with the playing of guitar. He continued that he designed his first guitar himself and use two to three years to learn how to play it.

Kesse who switched his music career from High Life to Gospel in 2019, has songs such as “Treat her Royal”, “Oh Yes”, “Mehu Yesu” among others to his credit.
