Ghanaian rap act, Kwame Nsiah Apae, known professionally as Okyeame Kwame, has reacted to President‘s resumption of schools amidst the current upsurge of the novel COVID-19.
President of the Republic, Nana Akuffo-Addo on his 21st address to the nation on measures taken to combat spread of coronavirus on January 3, 2021, announced the reopening of schools after which primary and kindergarten students had stayed home since March 13, 2020.
The directive has welcomed mixed reactions as myriad of notable personalities and other citizens applaud the President while others too in contrary, claim it’s a wrong move because of the current upshot of positive cases.
Speaking in an interview with Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, the multiple award-winning rapper, when asked about his take on the situation, responded that it’s a very tough question because he’s an not expert to know the exact reason.
According to Okyeame Kwame, he doesn’t vividly know to what extent of research the experts based on to make children go back to school.
